Upon booking your appointment, we will have a consultation over what type of feel you would like for the shoot.
Examples of adjectives that clients use to describe what they are looking to get out of the session are "fun", "classic","outdoorsy", "romantic", "edgy", "sweet", "bright", or "vintagey" . This consultation is very helpful for creative use of location, props, styling and editing.

For the shoot, bring extra accessories, possibly a change of clothes and any specific props that you would like to include.
Part of my job is to maintain a concept that's cohesive to you and your family's personality. Mixing colors, textures, and prints all create a great visual for the end result.
Clothing plays such a large role in what becomes your wall art!
I get a lot of questions on what to wear. I encourage you to pick a color palette of 3-5 colors. Piece different items together and lay them out on the floor. Don't be afraid to add accessories, but do pay attention to photo "faux pas"... an example would be bright white athletic socks or a shirt with a logo. These minor faux pas can throw of an entire photo!
Do not be afraid of color! Please do refrain from jeans and black or jeans and white...a uniform look is not my style and although can feel "timeless", doesn't quite leave much room for creativity or capture the exact moment in time.
The most important part is to have fun, I promise that this experience is not a painful one, no matter how camera shy you may be.
We'll have a great time!

i am a new photographer and you are really being a great inspiration to me...thank you....carol
